THOSE LITTLE SIGNS!!

Nothing happens in this world without its little fore runner signs. It is knowing or discerning and acting upon the interpretation of these signs that determine whether the bad would eventually happen. Unfortunately calamity still falls suddenly (in quote) upon men where indeed it was never sudden. Just as malaria has its signs, failure also has its signs. Nobody suddenly falls into sin, there are always the signs… and everyone who eventually fell only reveal to us how much they ignored signs. Are you in a relationship and there are these repeated negative signs pointing to a sorrowful future? It is always more painful if you entered a terrible marriage and you knew so well that this is the way it would turn out to be, yet you entered into it.

My car wheel mechanism once broke apart on motion and while I complained bitterly about the sudden nature of the breakdown, someone cautioned me to be quiet, saying, “Didn’t you see the signs that this wheel mechanism had gone bad?” It was then I realized the many strange sounds and signs I had ignored in the car. There is hardly any disease or sickness without its initial signs and symptoms as they form the premises doctors work on to recommend a corrective point of action. In the same vein there is hardly any calamity that has befallen or will befall anyone that doesn’t have its own signs and symptoms which can also be used to form the basis of an action plan that would quickly correct it.

Pay attention to that little sign pointing to a breaking point in your marriage. Take notice of those little signs that you are getting too emotionally involved with that guy/lady. Give the due attention to that sign warning that your child could go wayward. If any evil happened, it is always because you ignored its signs: Could it be that you are face to face with a very delicate sign now but you’ve just been turning away…???  Just as the negative signs are delicate, positive signs are equally critical…!! You also needed to notice that sign indicating a major breakthrough as you took a particular step in business or ministry. The ability to see good when it is coming and pay due attention to its sign definitely helps us not to misuse the moment or loose out of the goods!

The earlier these signs are detected and attended to, the better. It is always easier to deal with cancer when it has not yet formed. From the little health signals of the physical body to others pointing to a wreckage in your spiritual life, every single day is full of signs. Samson had good enough signs to have known that Delilah was a trap, yet he lingered on… till Delilah struck him down and his two eyes got plucked out. Little wonder Jesus said, “Watch and Pray” showing us how to live a safe life by taking all signs to the place of prayer and dealing with them there. Now take a deep breath and check all over your life for those seemingly negligible but consistent signs you’ve kept on ignoring… You’ld be surprised how many and how dangerous they are…. Take a second thought on those signs and handle them praying!!
