As Inspired by the HOLY ONE Winter and Beauty alighted in front of Baba Shagba’s place far away in Ogun State. Winter had convinced Beauty into going diabolical about her eyes and fighting Freeman’s wife. “ Are we there?” Beauty asked. The smell of wherever they were was very offensive. It also had this aura of darkness around. Though she couldn’t see clearly, her body was repelling the place. “ Yes we are!” Winter replied heartily “ I don’t think I want to go on with this! “ Beauty said refraining from moving further “ That’s fear and intimidation speaking my dear... and as your friend, I am here to help you overcome whatever it is that wants to stop you from your victory. I don’t give up you know.” Winter said pulling Beauty into the unknown world. Baba Shagba saw Winter approaching with the girl she had spoken to him about. Winter was one of his best client, she was a grateful client. She spared nothing when it came to money. She paid for charms sometimes

It was two weeks since the breakup and it was two weeks away from Beauty. Freeman looked out the window as he watched Pamilerin playing with their daughters. His second daughter who was very outspoken smiled and he saw her beautiful dimple just like him. Freeman couldn't help but smile. The smile was a smile of gratitude. He was grateful for what he had. He felt free indeed. He didn't have to hide his phone every now and then. He didn't have to stay in the car receiving Beauty's call. He had blocked Beauty's number from calling him. He couldn't deny the fact, he enjoyed every bit of the time he spent with Beauty, but the time to move on was now. It was worth it while it lasted. His family was what mattered most. Thinking about Beauty, he was happy she had cashed out a week after he gave her the cheque. He guessed it took her the first week to come to terms with the reality of the break up. She must have come out of the shock and good reasonin

Freeman walked into his home. His lips were swollen real bad. Pamilerin was seated in the living room with no thoughts in her head. She was still trying to live in the denial that everything that was happening was all a figment of her imagination. The creaking sound of the door made her conscious of her environment once again. Freeman's big lips caught her immediate attention. On impulse, she ran towards him in fear. " What happened?" Concerned Pamilerin asked Freeman saw the genuine look of concern on Pamilerin's face. Common sense told him that was the time to weaken Pamilerin's anger towards him. " She didn't take my breakup easily. She punched me on the lip because I told her I couldn't leave my wife for her. I was trying to tell her we were a big mistake which I had been trying to stop for a long time but I had been failing countless times." Freeman said with a pitiful looking face. Pamilerin stared hard at Freeman. "

Beauty felt the familiar butterflies in her stomach. She didn’t want to open the door for him, she didn’t trust herself. She was going to fail at what Winter asked her to do. How was she going to see Freeman and not kiss him, hug him or jump on him?. “ Beauty! I know you are in there! Please open up! You know I love you and this is not easy for me. Please open up and let’s discuss this!” Freeman said “ He still loves me!” Beauty said to herself as she fell to the ground crying. “ Please ... Bee Open up... I promise you, we will sort this out... I love you bae, everything that happened was sudden... Please just give me five minutes..” Beauty couldn’t control herself anymore. She flung the door open and rushed into Freeman’s arms. She held onto him tightly... “ I am not letting you go, she can’t take you from me, please... I am sorry for asking you to Marry me, don’t bother, I am fine with being the mistress. She won’t have to know about me...” Beauty said in rush “ No... Beauty, you d

PART 4 Pamilerin was fully awake on the bed while Freeman dressed up for work, however She pretended to be asleep as she couldn’t stand looking him in the eye that morning. Her heart was still hurt by his betrayal... “ See you later!” Freeman said as he moved closer to give Pamilerin the usual kiss on the forehead. Pamilerin didn’t move an inch. She laid down like a log of wood. Freeman withdrew from her. He watched how she was pretending to be asleep. This was the first time in a long while he wasn't going to get the usual "God's Presence goes with you!". Pamilerin made it a duty to always say that to him everyday before going to work. Freeman knew it was going to take a while before Pamilerin returned to her usual self. He couldn’t blame her. He had messed up real big and he was going to fix it. ******* Beauty was a mess, she called in sick at the office. She wasn’t in the right frame of mind to be at work. All night she had been eating anything and everything. Th

PART 3 " You don't say!" Winter said very bewildered "I can't believe Freeman would say that to me." Beauty said in tears "Sorry" " I can't believe Freeman would break up with me that easily and sharply because his wife found out about us. He could have denied it!" Beauty continued her tears " This is not good for you." Winter said at last after about three minutes of silence " What?" " Her knowing about you. When a wife gets to know there is a side chick involved in her marriage, the wife usually goes on the defensive. Depending on who the wife is, some side chicks never live to tell the story." " You mean she may want to kill me!" " Tell me about her, Who is she? Because if she is one of these born again Christians, just know that the relationship is over. She will use prayers and good character to win her husband back. If she is a diabolical person, she will probably turn her husband t

PART 2 "Dad is back.” Juanita screamed from the living room. Juanita was the loud one amongst the trio and she was her father's gisting partner. She ensured she and her sisters stayed up late till their father returned everyday. Pamilerin had to move their bedtime to 10pm because Juanita was always flouting the 9:15pm bed time... Pamilerin dropped the knife in her hand. She and Remi were slicing the vegetables for the spaghetti the girls would have for the next day. " Remi continue” Pamilerin said as she dried her wet hand with the kitchen towel. " So Henry poked Funsho with a sharp pencil, because Funsho called him a fat ugly elephant" Juanita was obviously recounting what must have happened in her class. Pamilerin shook her head in admiration at her daughter. The two other girls were her replica especially her first daughter. They spoke less. Juanita was a copy of her father. They loved conversations. " You don't mean it!" Freeman replied "

PART 1   “ I love you but my wife has to be dead before I can marry you!” Freeman said to Beauty. Beauty locked her eyes with his. She could see that was the first time he was saying the truth to her. It's been two years she had been asking him the same question. “ Why can’t we be together? I don’t mind becoming your second wife! Get me an apartment not too far away from your home and I promise to stay away from your first family!” This were her usual words whenever Freeman was in a good mood and his usual answer was always.... “ Beauty, we can’t be together. What we have is more than enough!” Hearing him at that moment saying if his wife died, he would marry her was the best words she had heard that year. “ Then let’s get her out of the way!” Beauty said under her breath but Freeman didnt pick up the words as he was already on a call. He picked up his car keys and sauntered out of the room blowing Beauty a goodnight kiss. Their routine for the last two years had been the sam
